Static caravan damage

hi all, we own a static caravan that was damaged by a snowplough contracted by the Park. The Park originally said it was their responsibility but now say say we have to claim on our own insurance which does not seem right? Any help much appreciated please.

Should you not be contacting your own insurance and they should claim on the insurance of the snow plough company?

Wrong forum? - Is this really a Motoring query?

Anyway, I'd suggest claiming on your home insurance. They will pursue the Park and/or the snowplough driver.
  • Hello, we had the same problem (in a caravan park in Slaley, Northumberland). I posted a comment in the Consumer Rights section. Most respondents have told us that we should claim on our own insurance, though we're worried that we'll be hit by an increase in premium next year. Some have said that we should be able to pursue the snowplough operator through the County Court using the small claims process, which doesn't require hiring a lawyer.
