Buyers solicitor requesting docs that don't exist?

Agree with above - there were 2 IP's on our house, we bought one and vendor bought one. One was for some sort of chancellery nonsense to do with the church, and one was because the latest extension hadn't been built with the permission of the original building company who no longer exist (60's house), but did have PP and BC sign off. Ours was about £35, and the other was about £80.0

My conveyancer asked the sellers for certificates for things they had no knowledge of and that I didn't care about. It delayed the purchase by weeks.
In the end the only way to progress the sale was for me to pay an indemnity insurance for an old wooden shed at the bottom of the garden that didn't have planning permission.

I told them I wasn't happy about it but to just buy the indemnity and get it done, then today I get an email saying that the buyer will pay for the indemnity. Very odd, but at least we seem to be there now. Solicitor has said no other enquiries to address, so hopefully exchange will be imminent.Appreciate all the feedback.2
