Moving in with my parents temporarily - address change?

Hi, looking for some advice. The family home has been sold and is due to complete soon and I will be moving back to my parents temporarily. I have set up mail redirection and I am hoping to be at my parents no longer than 6 months. My question is apart from the ones that legally need to show current address e.g. Driving License / DVLA, is anyone aware of anything else that legally must have current address? I don't want to have to change the address for everything when I will be moving out of my parents and into a new place hopefully later this year!

I had this situation. I was still able to use my DL for ID even though it had the wrong address. I just explained the situation. Now I have purchased I sent off to DVLA to get it changed. Good luck.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

As far as I am aware, driving licence, car tax and insurance are the ones you need to do. Others are less so, although I did change anything financial when we were in a similar situation, just to avoid the possibility of anything going astray and causing issues.Sometimes 6 months can drag out to 9 or 12 unfortunately1

Not legally, but do update your banks. As systems can block online payments for address mismatch.

If you own a car, you must update the V5C as that's how the police will contact you if needed. It's pretty straightforward. Bear in mind that the postal redirect won't be 100% efficient, and the new owners might just return letters or bin them rather than forwarding them on. You could end up with a big penalty simply for not responding to any letters from the police. You will need your Car Insurance moving.
I'd tell your employer and bank. If you are in a trade union, tell them too.0 -
I would just update everything, redirection isn't perfect, some people take a while to update their records, and if anything it's moving out of your parents where you can be more relaxed about it (as presumably they'll tell you if they receive your mail?).1
