Relocating to short term rental before moving abroad - changing addresses?

Options
We're selling our property and we will be moving to a short rental accommodation for approx 2 months before moving abroad.

I've set redirection to the new address from completion date to the date of actually moving abroad, however I was wondering what to do with the multitude of companies that have our address.

I know for insurance purposes I'll have to tell the company (for both my car and contents) but my idea was to not bother changing addresses in other places, and then telling them I moved abroad after moving. I'm also planning to set another redirection from my current address to my abroad one after the current relocation finishes.

Aside from convenience - is there any legal requirements I'm missing out that require me to change my approach?

I think driving licence is the only legal one requiring current address.

Depends what your many varied contracts with these many varied companies says.

I'd bet most require you to tell them - if not in many cases contract will be void.  And like me you've probably not read most of them.

    But, your choice !
