Morning again. I've been pottering around upstairs and then futtering about downstairs. The kitchen is almost cleared of my unwanted gadgets whilst the car boot is rattling. Now that the huge drawer which housed most of this stuff is almost empty I can re-arrange the remaining things. Pots into the drawer and food stores into the cupboards. My war on 'stuff' continues, some going out with a couple of things coming in. I decided to get rid of my plastic washing up bowl (not that I ever wash up by hand) and have ordered a stainless steel one. Then I had to find a non-plastic sink protector
All done.
I sometimes struggle to eat enough protein each day, my interim solution is to order some protein powder to have each morning. Got to keep up muscle strength somehow. At my Monday class I can lift two 3kg dumbbells up over my head from the ground a few times but it was a strain yesterday so needs must - that and doing more in-between classes. My final spending this morning has been a couple of audio books, one from Anthony Horowitz and pre-order from Neil Lancaster. Now my purse is firmly closed. In contrast my front door is wide open with sunshine and wind drifting through the house.I'm looking around for @Nan - I hope that you and your family are OK, we miss you.Hugs to all.

Morning all, and a happy birthday to Camelot, have a good day.
Lovely sunshine again, but still quite chilly. Yesterday as I predicted DH went to collect his saw blade. I went along for the ride, and popped into a Morries close by for a look. Nothing we need, I told myself but couldn't resist the markdowns, smoked salmon and pork steaks for 43p a pack! It would have been rude not to buy them. A few other bargains also, so today's job is sorting out the freezer as I just dumped them in last night.
Taff, I usually use shortcrust pastry on the bottom of pies and puff on top, but I didn't have any puff in the freezer, so all shortcrust.
Izzy, 5 years on after retiring I still get all my jobs done first thing. I think it's because I have more energy then.
Have a good day all whatever you're doing, hugs to all who need them. Take care.10 -
Hi all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Happy Birthday @camelot1001 - enjoy the magic show!
I've just finished another training course and will be doing another this afternoon. I'm on a break now to have some lunch and grab a cuppa. WI tonight back in my old town and I'm running a fundraising stall so need to be there earlier to set up. Dinner tonight is BNS risotto so will start the prep now.
I have a free day tomorrow so will see if DH wants to go to a NT property. Not much within an hours' distance so we will need to be up and at it early if so.
Glad DGD managed some time at school yesterday @dp1 and good luck for your physio appt.
Hugs to everyone else.

Hello all from Mehefinland
Well it might be sunny but the East wind is wicked - nearly blowing the washing off the line!!
Been a busy week so far and the pace isn't letting up much. 3 interviews yesterday afternoon, another one later today etc. Had a volunteers meeting this morning about doing a Xmas post with the other community libraries. Quite a bit of work but there is a super efficient organiser at one of the other libraries who is leading on it. The volunteers seem keen to give it a go so we will see how it pans out in December . It will bring in some revenue if it takes off so it is worth trying.
Another community library meeting tomorrow with all of the different ones in our area getting together to talk to the central book buyer - ideas put forward for new books from the different ones, so we will see what the budget runs to.
The funeral of an old friend on Thursday, and another finance type meeting for council on Friday. Then breathe!!
It was another old friends 88th birthday today so I made him a ginger cake, and other bits and bobs. Gosh, it wasn't half sticky!!
Horses seem ok although Fairy is favouring her near hind so I shall have a look at that if she will let me - I do not want to get kicked by her - she is lightning fast and handy with her feet at the best of times. Hopefully nothing to get worried about. She's shedding hair like there's no tomorrow too.
Hugs and spoons as always
