Really struggling with ideas for Men over 70

...........too late for this year but next maybe..... a trip to Normandy to see the war graves (you don't have to have served in the forces or have fought in France to appreciate them) ?....might be expensive but could be a combined present from other members of the family. Similarly, a visit to Anne Franks house in Amsterdam.0

A lot of old men dont want things to remind them of the war! My dad is 75 and likes things he's had for the last twenty years!! Smellies, aftershave, books, sweets and this year i got him a chainsaw carving of an owl for the garden. Age doesn't really come into it, you still feel the same inside!0

I have bought my dad (77) a selection of jams from the farmers' market. We tend to do just small gifts, so chocolate gingers or chocolate ginger biscuits etc.
I am planning to get him a mounted photo done for his birthday, but usually we do 'edible gifts' as their house is already full of 'stuff'!0
