Travel company double charge

With hindsight, would the best course of action have been to contact the credit card company, dispute the second £3,300 charge and ask them to suspend it with no interest accruing it until the refund was processed?
That is what I would have done before I moved money from a savings account although I don't know how this particular credit card company might have responded.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
Thing is here.
OP could have simply rang MBNA Credit card co, about this & they could have sorted it. Rather than taking money from a savings acc to pay the bill.Life in the slow lane0 -
