Self Assessment for Sole Trader

Hi,
My wife will shortly be embarking on a new career as a sole trader. She already completes self-assessment as she rents out a property.
Looking at the HMRC website, it is not clear whether she will need to register for a second self-assessment account for her work, or whether she can use the account she currently has for rental income etc.
Any advice gratefully received.
Many thanks.

She will only need to do one SA Return each year - there will be extra pages for the sole trader work.
She will need to register as sole trader.0 -
yes she will need to register again.
Despite already being in SA, HMRC nonetheless require you to effectively start again when setting up self employment
Become a sole trader: Register as a sole trader - GOV.UK
"If you have registered for Self Assessment for another reason, you will need to register again."
However, as said above all her info will go on a single tax return and she needs to tick the boxes to select the SE bits as well as the rental (and any other sources of income that apply). She should already be familiar with that as you have to do it every year.
