Lloyds Switch Offer

I've gone to take advantage of the the Lloyds switch offer with their Club account, but things got a bit confusing when applying via the App.
Initially, I never got to select what account I was applying for. It asked me details about wage and saving, and mustve chosen one. I got all the way to putting in the switch details but when I got to the submit page, I cancelled as I needed to know it was just the regular club lloyds account.
Once I cancelled, I could then see the accounts to choose from, so I selected the account I wanted. At this point, I wasn't given the choice to put in my switch detailed from my previous bank, and it just opened an account for me.
1. Once I got to select the account, the application was super quick as it must've saved my details from the aborted attempt. I'm wondering if it saved my inputted switch information?
2. If it didn't switch, will I be able to log-in to my new account and switch my old account into it to receive the bonus, or does the switch have to be initiated whilst applying to open the account?
I'm hoping tomorrow I'll have an email to confirm my current account is being switched. I can't do a lot more until the online banking activation code is sent out, but I'm really hoping this confusion didn't mess up the application.

1 - yes, probably. You created a customer profile when you did that, and the details were all stored at that point
2 - there's no requirement to do the switch as part of the application, you're fine

Hopefully you don't already have a club account?throughtheblue said:I've gone to take advantage of the the Lloyds switch offer with their Club account, but things got a bit confusing when applying via the App.

No this was my first time setting up an account with Lloyds. Once I've got the activation code for online banking I suspect I can start the switch unless it pulled the details from the aborted attempt.35har1old said:

You'll be able to initiate the switch after the fact without affecting your eligibility for the bonus. You can either wait until you get your online banking details, or give them a call to initiate it over the phone if you want it started sooner.throughtheblue said:
