I've managed without a landline just fine for 15 years. Absolutely no need for one these days if you live in a town with good mobile reception and broadband.

Yep.  Still a couple of people to inform ....... though the dentist did call me on my mobile, they obviously logged the number when I called them.

It had to happen. Had a call on my mobile today, number not recognised.  It was the vaccination centre who were on my list to inform, they tried the landline and it didn't work so they contacted my GP practice who gave them the number.  At least I know the on line contact change form for the GP works.

Wish that I could lose my landline, but it is actually a life line where I live.   Mobiles (on any network) simply cannot receive or make calls in my house.  Yes, we have WiFi calling.
No, it doesn't work!!!  Although the whole village is supposedly superfast fibre, it hasn't made it down to our end.   The internet is dodgy and slow.  I am simply dreading losing the landline when forced to do so.
Need to add that I cannot get a mobile signal at the house.  Something to do with the hills around here (according to various suppliers).  Everyone who visits ends up using my landline if they need to make a call.

No mobile signal inside our house but wifi calling does the job fine and landline sacked. Considerable drop in the number of spam/junk calls
