selling shares as POA

I am trying to find if my mum still has shares in LLoyds/TSB as my brother and I are trying to sort her finances as POA,s. I have a very old certificate from TSB in my dads name(he died 25yrs ago) and correspondence from LLoyds about voting in the AGM up to 2015 and then nothing else and no new certificate. She has dementia so is unable to give any information. How can I find out if her shares still exist?

TSB share certificate only has a value as a collectors item.
