EV Car Lease with Arval

Myself and my business partner each have an EV on lease via Arval. They are responsible for organising the tax. We received an email informing us of the changes in tax and that our vehicles would need to be taxed. We contacted them to discuss an early tax to avoid charges this first year. They are refusing to do this and say that they will not and we will then be charged tax for the 2 vehicles in June when tax is due. Obviously people are allowed to tax early to avoid - is there anything that we can do about this?
Thanks in advance!!

Following this thread as I have an EV with Arval on business lease.
I'd personally be amazed if you managed to convince Arval to exploit what is effectively a loophole (especially as there is zero benefit to them doing so), but you never know.
My contract (around a year old) is silent on requesting early renewal of excise. This is all it says on the matter:Aylesbury_Duck said:sazzle54 said:Myself and my business partner each have an EV on lease via Arval. They are responsible for organising the tax. I don't think there is anything you can do. I'm in a similar position although my tax doesn't renew until January so I'm only hit for 3 months effectively.
You could potentially buy the car off them if you are near end of lease.0 -
From the lease companies perspective, why would they?
There is no benefit to them, as the cost is charged through, plus they would end up with the extra admin this time next year as the number of cars to tax could be a lot higher (e.g. all the EV cars in one month rather than spread over 12)

Pretty sure there was a thread about this in Motoring section, which was with Tesla. They said the same, then changed their mind & did VED in either Feb or March.
But that is down to each co & if they have the staff to go through all their leases & update.Life in the slow lane0
