I have read the NEWBIES info and searched the site but cannot find an answer.

I received a parking fine in May 2019 for parking in Millers Walk Shoppers Car Park, Fakenham from CP Plus Ltd and after appeal paid it on 5th September 2019. I received a debt collectors letter end of January 2025 for payment of the fine plus costs for the same car park, same date but with the client named as National Parking Enforcement Ltd. I emailed the debt collectors (ZZPS) with the only evidence I have (a copy of the redacted credit card statement with date of payment and reference ‘Parking Charge Paym [removed by Forum Team]’) who said their client confirmed that this payment is not for this charge or any charge raised by them. I have traced the reference number on the credit card statement to a phone number for CP Plus Ltd but have no recollection of ever dealing with National Parking Enforcement Ltd. I have no other documentation as I threw it away after 5 years. I know I have had no other parking fines for the Millers Walk location. What do I do?

    You should

Study post 4 in the newbies sticky thread

Ignore powerless debt collectors letters , take no notice,  do not contact them

Keep paperwork for 6 years in England and Wales,  not 5 years

Once its passed the 6 year deadline,  there is no further problem

    stop paying parking firms.
Seconded. I'm shocked that people do, all the time that the rogue industry swerves regulation.

    Completely ignore ZZPS obviously, @Onionbhaji23
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
