Morning all. Frosty this morningJust back from shopping centre to see if I could get a new t shirt from Marks. I spilt dinner down my one on the plane coming home and didn't notice until a kind stewardess pointed it out to me! I can't get the stain out and it's a white t shirt with a lovely yellow stain on it now. I'd only worn it twice too. None in my size so came home empty handed except for a couple of yellow stickered things from the food hall.Have a good day all and keep warm x10

Morning all
Its a bright and sunny day here but very cold with a sharp frost this morning, I had a lovely lay in this morning and feel much better for it.
Dogs to be walked this morning and then I want to nip to big Tesco to look for some tops / fleece jumpers I’m not sure they will have any but it’s worth a look.
We have been having some trouble with the young chap who lives in the council flat at the bottom of our garden, I was gardening the other day and the smell of dodgy cigarettes 👀 coming from his place was overwhelming I then discovered a load of his fag buts in our garden, he is smoking out of his bathroom window and then throwing the butts into our garden, it’s right above our shed where OH keeps his tools and a lot of them use petrol 😳 I have reported it to the council I am not fussed what you do in your own home but don’t throw them in my garden where my dogs go out, I managed to get a video of him the other night, you can’t see his face and last night I got a photo on my phone and I think he saw the flash as he looked right at me, I’m hoping it stops him as it’s horrible and dangerous with the petrol, but if not I hope the council will step in. I won’t go round there myself as I think he has MH problems and I dont want him kicking off !
I think we will have the omelette for dinner tonight I will get some nice bread later to have with it.
Welcome back Izzy xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
I'm back. The Housing Manager has been and done his stuff. It wasn't an annual visit nor was the question of downsizing mentioned. Because I'm now the sole tenant as a result of succession, although it's classed as a "new" tenancy, it's still a secure one. The forms are really designed for people who've just moved in so it was just a tick box exercise they have to go through. I didn't need to raise the question of the recycling bins - apparently he's the one who organised them - but we did discuss the water ingress problem. He said if it happens again to contact him and he'll do some butt kicking.
Apparently the door entry system isn't working (again) so he's arranging to have that fixed too. I've met him before and have to say he's probably the best Housing Manager we've had, a real hands-on person who always gets back to you.
@TA - Pleased to hear the blood pressure results went well. I sometimes have that white coat syndrome, although why I don't know - heaven knows I've had enough of them in my time.
@Izzie - A belated Happy Birthday, glad you enjoyed the break.
@-taff - We have a primary school over the road and the traffic at school drop-off and pick-up times is ridiculous. Mind you, it does provide me with some entertainment watching the drivers' antics! I often wonder if some of them have actually passed a driving test.
@Ruby - It's a very distinctive smell, isn't it? You're probably right to let the council deal with it.
Right, now I can get on with the rest of the day so I'll wish you all a good weekend, take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
@Chrisca50 - just a quick note - have you considered dyeing the t-shirt to see what happens? I have also found that Dawn dish detergent (do you get it there) takes out more stains than most other products. Putting a white t-shirt out in the sunshine can sometimes bleach the stains out also (just have to round up some sunshine).3

Thanks for your ideas @weenancyinAmerica The only problem is that it isn't a pure white t shirt. It has thin black lines across it too. I might just cut my losses and use it around the house and probably end up adding to the stains!5
