Reading the forum, it seems they are new to this scam and dont appear on the success stories thread, so i thought id shate and follow others also being chased by them.
Am about to send the email copied from post 2 of the newbies saying i will defend, confirming my address but not saying why. Is this right?
I did inadvertently overstay but am not prepared to pay such an exorbitant fee for a minor infringement. Is that a decent enough defence or do i need more?

Thanks to everyone on here for their advice already.

Yes reply by email using the response template in the newbies sticky thread second post

    No,  its not a defence

The defence template thread contains the defence,  plus I suggest that you study other recent UKCPS Moorside Legal cases to see what their defence was

MOORSIDE is not telling you the truth

They say the Original balance is £170 ?
    WRONG ... it was £100
They have added a fake scam amount of £70. They might say they can because it's in the code of practice by the BPA/IPC  ?

The code of practice is not a law, everyone knows the fake £70 is just a money making scam.  The majority of Judges know this and will deduct it

Moorside are heading down the same disater route as DCBL and the other so called legals

They say that no other charges have been addeed
THEY JUST DID .... THE FAKE £70

Email response after i sent the post 2 newbies emsil.is shown below.
Do i.just wait for the court letter now? Thanks.

    Our client: UKCPS Ltd

Our answers to your questions are as follows:

The additional charge which has been levied on your Parking Charge of £70 is the amount set out in both the British Parking Association and International Parking Community Codes of Practice as the amount which may be added to a Parking Charge when a Parking Charge remains unpaid and when further recovery is required. Our Client adheres to the ATA’s Code of Practice. The £70 does not represent the cost of recovery but is a reasonable amount in relation to the Parking Charge amount, in order to encourage early payment of the Parking Charge without the need for debt recovery. It is a fair amount set by our Client’s government-approved Accredited Trade Association Code of Practice. There are however also costs incurred by our client in relation to debt recovery services.

By entering and parking the vehicle on our client's private land, you agreed to enter into a contract with our client and to be bound by the terms and conditions of that contract. The terms and conditions were clearly displayed at the entrance and in prominent places within the car park. Due to your failure to comply with the terms and conditions, our client has issued the PCN therefore if we are instructed to issue a claim the reason would be for Unpaid parking charges/ breach of contract.

We have noted on your account you are seeking debt advice and have placed the matter on hold for 30-days. If you fail to make payment after the 30-day period has lapsed, we may be instructed to issue a County Court Claim against you.

You may wish to seek independent legal advice.

    Yours sincerely

    Moorside Legal

"The other point is that a COP is just actually just guidance from a club they belong to, which they quote when it's in the operator's favour but ignore when it goes against them!"

The KADOE contract (2024?) actually states:-

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/current_dvla_kadoe_agreement_for/response/2567601/attach/4/FOIR11172 UK Car Park Management Ltd Redacted.pdf?cookie_passthrough=1

"A7. Membership of an Accredited Trade Association A7.1. The Customer shall at all times be a member of a DVLA Accredited Trade Association (“ATA”) and maintain membership of the ATA and comply with the ATA’s Code of Practice."

EDIT:  it also states "comply" in 2019 version of KADOE contract.

They had 6 years, so they store up the unpaid Invoices and eventually pass to a bulk litigator law firm

Post the Issue date from the top right of the claim form below

Also post a redacted picture of the POC from the lower left of the claim form below after hiding the VRM details first

Plus, edit your thread title to include UKCPS, such as

    UKCPS, MOORSIDE LEGAL court claim
