Bank account for poor credit rating

Hello.
Can anyone offer  advice to opening  a new bank account  for someone  who has poor credit history.
I am getting nowhere with the banks I have approached.
Thanks,
Robbie

The TSB Cash account and Santander Basic accounts are both, in my experience, very easy to open. If you'd like a contactless debit card then TSB offer that. However, the Santander app is much better than TSB's. Just my personal recommendations, do also check the link that eskbanker posted.

Have you tried Monzo or Starling, their apps are far better then what the old fashioned banks offer,I have a poor credit record and both were happy to give me an account.

Any bank can open an account for you even if you do not qualify for a proper belt and braces one - a basic account or as above with TSB C ash account.

However if you have been involved in fraudulent activity, Bankruptcy etc then they will refuse you.
