Hi partner just received text about review starting and a new form to be filled in..are awards still being extended after form is sent back. Thanks

Given it has been taking around a year, from sending the form back to getting the actual assessment. You carry on receiving the PIP amount till the review has been completed.Life in the slow lane1 -
At around 35 days left of current award if they have failed to take a decision they should extend by a year - letter may of course take a fair few days to get to you. You would expect to get a new decision within that year extension (given timelines reported) which replaces the extension."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0

My partner is unsure if he wants to go through the stress of the assessment process again and just let his claim end(he is still eligible but don't wanna deal with it anymore, all the disability bashing by the government is upsetting him)but if his claim is gonna get extended it may be worth sending the review form back. I think he should send it regardless because there is a small chance they may do a paper based assessment, if not then just end the claim at that stage.0
