Good morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
DH was out last night and got home around 1am due to a replacement rail service - typical! I will hold off having a shower just yet (en suite only shower makes a right old racket).I made a lovely chilli in the SC yesterday and there’s a portion left for DH to have for lunch. Tonight it’s chicken curry - real comfort food in this chilly weather.I plan to get out in the garden for a bit this morning. Just a bit of tidying up to do whilst the garden is waking up. I also need to put a white wash on which will go on the airer.Glad the MRI went off okay @AlwaysAllie
Please don’t send any choc to me @TA - I’m struggling to stay away from the mini eggs atm!
Have a good day everyone

Hi everyone,
TA, happy birthday for yesterday, I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.
It seems as if the strange lip swellings I have been having are being caused by one of my medications so the Dr has told me to stop taking it and I have to go and see her on Monday, if it's not one thing it's another at the moment.
My days at the moment seem very repetitive so don't make for interesting posting or reading, tidy, shop, cook, clean and childcare seem to be the sum total of it. Yesterday's difference was treating the houseplants with nematodes to kill the fungus gnats they seem to have become infested with, I hope they work because they are irritating little things like fruit flies. I have rather a lot of plants so it took a while.
dp1, I hope little one copes with her new regime and starts to feel more energetic soon.
Ruby, did the SW manage to sort out your expenses?
Stay warm everyone, have a good day.13 -
Morning all. Today's weather is set to be a rinse and repeat of yesterday - changeable and chilly with sunny intervals and scattered showers. One of them yesterday was more hailstones than rain.
Yesterday afternoon I had an email from my broadband provider with details of the April price increase, a little under £2 pm so not too bad I suppose, I'll add that on to the annual budget spreadsheet. Still waiting for CT and water rates bills, and still no word about Pension Credit. I think I'm up to week 15 now.
I'll give the wall washing a miss today as I've a few other things I need to get on with, nothing of importance but they do need doing. I spot cleaned a bit of the carpet yesterday and am pleased with how it's come up. Tea tonight is the chilli pancakes I froze last week and I'll add a bit of salad in the interests of healthy eating.
Glad you enjoyed your birthday @TA, I do have a sweet tooth but am good at making chocolates last a long time so I could share them with @remmie! Not bothered about sweeties though. Good luck with today's annual review.
@Gers - Interesting that both cataracts might be done at the same time in some cases. I'm not sure I would have wanted that although I suppose it would get it over and done with in one fell swoop.
@snoozer - Fingers crossed the doc will be able to get to the bottom of the lip swellings.
Nothing else to waffle on about, may your day be stress-free and enjoyable. Take care, hugs if you need one. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.13 -
Belated birthday wishes to TA sounds like a good day .
Up early to take friend to our local (18 miles) hospital for scans ,she wouldn’t let me wait with her so I am now worrying .
A neighbour has an appointment this pm and will bring her home ,I did offer but she didn’t want to upset them .
Got home to a missed phone call from GP ,rang and it was to confirm they want me to increase one of the drugs as per cardiology consultation last week .Also they booked an appointment to check BP next week
I’m very impressed with my surgery .
Think I’ll have an early lunch and then try a declutter a little more in my bedroom ,wanted to do a bit in the garden but it’s so cold and now drizzling again .
Stay safe everyone14
