ParkMaven PCN

Good evening! We parked our car next to McDonald’s. We were with children, and since there is a soft play area inside McDonald’s, the children spent three hours there. After 16 days, we received a PCN. I called McDonald’s to clarify why we were fined, and they told me that the parking is private. They said they could try to cancel it but couldn’t guarantee success.
Could you please advise whether it’s better to appeal myself or let them try to do it?

Ask McD's to cancel it. You know from the NEWBIES FAQS thread that this is Plan A.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Notice to Keeper doesn't adhere to the Protection of Freedoms Act. "No parking session" for 3 hours duration indicates it is £100 whether you park for 1 second or 3 hours.
No mention of any overstay. Period of parking won't match the signage.

Ah, I see what you mean—good point! I really didn’t find any information about an overstay. It’s a shame I don’t remember what the signs at the car park said.

That Notice to Keeper that you have shown us appears to mention Holiday Inn Express.
Where exactly did this parking event take place?1 -
There is a Holiday Inn about 20 meters away from McDonald’s.
