I notice that threads on this board are being tagged with the name of the bank they relate to, which is presumably intended to aid searching - anyone know if these are being added manually or if there's any automated textual analysis involved?  I suppose it would be viable to create some experimental threads to find out but don't imagine that would be welcomed!

Halifax seems to be the odd one out on page 1
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

I think all the ones with tags were created in the last couple of weeks, the Halifax one last year.

I've seen the "answered" tag appear on a couple of threads.

    That'll be a handy feature.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.56% of current retirement "pot" (as at end January 2025)

I'm afraid that's a feature we probably won't keep except on a very limited amount of boards. It means the OP or admin has marked a comment in the thread as the best answer.

This wouldn't be a good idea in our kind of forum where users could interpret it as the 'Correct' answer.

    Fair enough.

Although an OP could just edit the title of the thread to note "answered" and/or request the thread be closed, which doesn't eliminate "wrong" answers being given and remaining unchallenged.

Completely support that.... sometimes OPs find it difficult to work out what advice is good and what is bad.  If there is conflicting advice in a thread it could be dangerous if one version gets an 'official' thumbs up.  Better for other forum members to read all versions and make up their own minds.
