I do, but not as frequently as the other main banks.

For a long while every Natwest/RBS personal product launched had a matching account with both brands - this stopped last year when Natwest launched a travel reward credit card which thusfar has not received an RBS equivalent. I also note that both RBS and Ulster are now pushing students to Natwest rather than offering their own accounts.

I mention this because I think it might be indicative of a change of approach where they will guide customers gradually to the Natwest brand regardless of where they live.

If that's the case, it'd follow that you probably won't see switch bonuses offered by RBS or Ulster again.

Not quite the same level - but LBG have all but stopped marketing of Halifax with the exception of mortgages; it seems the lion share of marketing effort for current accounts is directed toward Lloyds with a small amount for BOS in Scotland (although they've never offered a switch bonus under LBG ownership). It's widely expected that the branch network will be rationalised to cut duplication between Lloyds and Halifax now customers of either can use both; that being the case it's quite possible Lloyds will become the master brand with Halifax the sub-brand for mortgages - not unlike Barclays used to do with Woolwich. Or maybe the pendulum will swing the other way and Halifax will get a load of marketing and switch bonuses, time will tell.
