Which Hive hubs can be reset for new owner?

Options
Seems like Hive has changed their original policy. However, the instructions say to press the button on the back of the hub - I cannot see one.
Does this only apply to more recent hub models?
Thanks.

I am not sure if this is applicable but have you tried switching the hub off for a minute and then turning it back on? That might allow you to reset it.

There is no button on my Hive hub EGW - 238.

    Mine looks like this.

A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

    Thanks Belanus.
Not my own Hive. The owner of this one is selling the whole caboodle, and I pointed out that the hubs could, seemingly, now being fully reset to allow a new account. I had a quick look on Hive's site, and they explain the process, but it involves a button on the back of the Hub. The 320 model in question doesn't seem to have that button, so I wonder if it won't work?
Is there only a new Hub that can do this?

Sorry TIW. I don't know the answer.

We had a new boiler fitted 18 months ago and it came with all the Hive kit. The installers set up all the Hive kit. From memory I then registered an account with Hive and downloaded the app to my mobile phone.

I don't know what to do with second user kit.

Try asking on a Hive user forum. Here is one I found.

I thought the old Hive hub versions were to be taken with the registered owner? You can reset the thermostat and leave it behind (I think you have to anyway because it is mapped to the receiver with the boiler) but the hub itself can be taken with you to your new house.

The original hubs cannot be sold - I did look into getting a secondhand from eBay but I have heard of people complaining that they cannot register because it was already bind to the original owner.

Your friend might have luck if they give Hive support a call/email.

Thanks. I'll ask on the Hive forum.
Yes, originally they were tied to the account. They've changed this now, but not sure that needs a different, resettable, hub.
    I'll report back

Hive have confirmed that they can do this with all Hubs.
The Hub needs to be installed in the new home, and then they'll sort it.
    Cool.
