Morning everyone and Happy Birthday TA - enjoy your day
Dull and chilly here this morning, it got out quite nice yesterday afternoon and when I came home my grass had been cut for the first time this year.
Redruby = I had an omelette for my tea with some bread and butter, I usually have one once a week...little one rang while I was eating it and told me it was a very weird tea, omelettes are for lunch!
She's coming up this afternoon for a bit - I'll get the craft box out as she has a birthday card to make for her mummy and a Mothers Day card.
My physio appointment yesterday was cancelled and changed to next Tuesday - I've been using my tens machine on my knee when I'm sitting watching TV at night and it isn't quite so painful.
DD was told my her half sister that their dad had died on Monday - I rang eldest DD to tell her but sadly they both said they haven't a single good memory of him, which made me feel sad that they had such a rubbish dad. They haven't seen or heard from him for at least 12 years and he really turned out to be an awful person who emotionally abused us all for a couple of years until I stood up to him and, with the help of a lovely solicitor, went to court to get him out of the house. It's all a long time ago but it brought back some bad memories.
Eldest DD rang me in a right state last night - she had terrible sickness and diarrhoea, I think norovirus as it was so bad...she seems a bit better this morning so I've told her to try eating little bits and sipping water and to stay home from work for at least today and tomorrow.
Right I'd best get on, I need to go down to mam and dads and then go for some shopping. I hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Happy Birthday TA, hope you have a lovely day
As always thinking of the sad, lonely and the poorlies
Take care x6 -
Morning All
Just popping on from work - I leave too early in the morning to post!
Lovely sunny day again but mighty cold and the wind would cut you in two. Still, the washing dried yesterday and was folded and put away when I got home.
Happy Birthday TA, hope you have a lovely day and are truly spoiled.
Glad your meeting went well Gers.
Hugs to you dp1 - good job you are a fabulous Mum.
Hope the horses are ok Mehefin.
Pleased to hear Rob is all mended Ruby.
A friend and I are going to a basket weaving class this evening which should be fun.
Hope everyone's well. Take care. XX9 -

Morning allA bit chilly this morning. Will we ever feel we can turn the heating off this year?Happy birthday TA, have a lovely daydp1 sorry you've got such bad memories of your DH. Glad you had a happier life after you managed to get him out of yours and your DDs lives xI saw a recipe of Nigella's the other day for lemon biscuits. What a lot of faffing around. I hope they taste as nice as all the trouble it took to make them. They're in the oven as I speak.Have a good day all and hugs for the poorlies x9

Good afternoon, happy birthday TA, have a lovely day.
Cloudy and a bit drizzly, not too warm either.
Not much to report today, just the usual chores. DH has requested his favourite pie, chips and peas for dinner so I'll have a rummage in the freezer, maybe corned beef hash for me.
Hope all goes well today AA
Hugs to all who need them, take care.7 -
Just popping in while I have a quick coffee break away from the wall washing. Half of it done, will do the other half soon. Of course, you know what's coming next - all the other walls will need doing too.
Never mind, my time is my own and I'm telling myself it's half Spring cleaning and half prep for when the new paint goes on.
Hugs @dp1 - sorry to hear your physio appointment was cancelled yesterday, better luck next week, but it's good the tens machine is helping in the meantime.
Two pieces of good news.
1) The recycling bins have been emptied and, better still, we've got new bins that don't have locked lids.
2) A text from the council's gas service contractors with an annual service appointment booked in for April, on a day and at a time that suits me.
The bad news is an email from my bank to say the interest rate on my easy saver account is going down in April - again.
Oh, and it's just started raining too, sounds quite icy.
Back tomorrow. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
