After the beautiful night sky all lit up by a huge bright moon the morning is grey. Perhaps the day will be good.My saucepan cupboard got rearranged and cleared out. Old pans out and new ones in. The big box with the pans in is still in the middle of my living room, it'll migrate to my car later this morning. The meeting yesterday evening turned out not too stressful or difficult and I was tucked up in bed in time for the second half of GBBM.Today I have a couple of small parcels to post and part of my order to return to Marks so it's up north I go again. This time I'll visit friends on the way back for some lively chat.@TA - is today your birthday? If so, 🎂🎉🎂🎉 have a lovely day with lots of cake.Hugs to our poorlies and those struggling with stuff.13

Morning
I think I missed yesterday - hadn’t got anything vaguely exciting to say.Back to grey and rain here - supposedly some sun at the weekend, but it’s very cold again.
I have an MRI this morning, connected with my loss of smell/taste, ruling out any nerve issues. Then a large charity drop off of some things that haven’t sold locally, then fill up the car with bark and compost. Not sure of the rest of the day but am seriously behind with craft work so might try and do that.Best wishes to all

Morning all
Feels very cold here this morning blanket is back over the knees, yesterday while walking the first half of the walk was lovely and warm in the sun then after we had stopped for lunch the sun went in and it was bitterly cold we were glad to get back to the car, the dogs loved it though.
Rob coming today and I shall take him to work now that his rash is almost gone, he will enjoy doing some baking.
Not sure about dinner tonight we may have something quick like an omelette with bread and butter I have some mushrooms that need using so could have those and cheese.
Happy Birthday to the lovely TA hope your day is filled with joy xxx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Yes it is my birthday today. I have been showered, fed and watered and now waiting for DD to pick me up for a day out shopping (or more likely just browsing!) then a nice late lunch somewhere. Although cold the weather is fine.
A good meet up with DF yesterday. We risked going back to our original hostellerie and it was much quieter with a choice of tables too. Picked one beside the fire in the little room and could eat, drink and chat in peace. A pleasant afternoon was had. DS called up with their crazy dog early evening with birthday goodies and a beautiful flower arrangement.
Hope today gives you some answers ALLIE and the errant wildlife has appeared and been dealt with by YL and TAFF. Have a good day folks, take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all, it's a lovely day for now, cars frosted up though. Thanks Gers enjoy your trip Northwards.Allie I was the same yesterday, a nothing day
really. Finished my library book.
I spent most of the morning trying to sort out an electric pressure cooker/air fryer that is DS2s. He's hardly used it but it was sending out smoke. He was ready to chuck it on a skip but it was so expensive I wanted to see if it still worked as a p cooker, so just did a water test first- fine. That must have loosened some grease so I did a good clean, then cooked a stew, also fine.Gingerly did the AF function, no problems so must have been something stuck somewhere. Anyway we've decided to swap as he really doesn't need such a big beast!DH has gone for his early appointment with the physio.Happy Birthday TA, have a good oneHope everyone gets some sunshine in their day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all and a very happy birthday to TA
Yesterdays Afternoon Tea was lovely; the lady there makes her own scones and they were so light. Of course, we couldn't manage the cakes so they are now sitting in a box in the fridge and will be eaten over the next couple of days. Actually, I think I'll let DH eat them all as I popped on the scales this morning and wasn't happy with what I saw! I must make a real effort to lose half a stone in the next couple of months as it's obviously been creeping on when my back's turned
Off to help at the Larder soon so will wish everyone a good day.12 -
Happy birthday TA, hope you have a lovely day
Not much to report here, pottering along catching up with gardening etc
Have a good day allCarolbee10 -
Morning! Grey and dull which is ifne because a seed sowing marathon is on the cards. And moving some stuff around the garden too. OH is back in work today..For some reason, when he's off, I can't get on with doing anything and end up sitting on the sofa all day doing nothing. Most annoying. Weather's a bit chillier today but fingers crossed it doesn't rain otherwise I'll have to find inside jobs to do...Allie, I was reading about people having surgery that worked for regaining smell last weekend I think..I suppose it's the ultimate end game if the other stuff doesn't work. Happy Birthday TA!! another successful trip around the sun
Gers, well done on a successful swap over
I do like asiny new [to me] saucepan..I end up using them ore for a while.. Rosy, well done for fixing it! Take care all...

Morning all. Happy birthday @TA - have a great day whether it's shopping or just browsing!
It's another chilly start to the day, sunny and dry so far but random showers are possible. It was a real effort to drag myself out of a warm bed this morning and I'm just waiting for the bathroom to heat up so I can have a shower. I must be getting soft in my old age!
Usual weekly trip to the Co-op yesterday, not much on my list although I did come home with some "extras" - YS currant teacakes, a couple of mini pork pies and a large bag of bread sticks. I also by-passed the Little Free Library but, if I'm honest, that was only because I didn't have any books to return.
I heard the binmen about half an hour ago so I'll pop out soon to see if the recycling bins have been emptied - I'm not holding my breath. Today's exciting main task is to wash down the wall above the radiator in the living room to get rid of the streaks from the heating. Other than that, it's just the usual day to day stuff and I'll squeeze in some crafting at some point.
@AA - Hope today's MRI goes smoothly.
That's all for now, take care and enjoy the day. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Happy Birthday TA - hope you have a lovely day. x10
