Short UK Glamping Break - worth booking 3rd party insurance?

Hi We've booked a short 3 night "Glamping" break in Sussex. Less than an hours drive.
Approx £300 - They offer flex booking for an additional £100 (allows date to be changed up to 24 hours in advance).

I was wondering if instead it might be worth looking at some kind of 3rd party insurance. At least that would cover illness - but maybe not bad weather? If so any recommendations?

For £300 I'd personally not bother.

Insurance will have an excess probably

Short trip , travel insurance, id expect only a few pounds

What does it cover?  Presumably for illness they would require you to have seen a doctor to pay out, which might be tricky.  Is there any cover for weather problems that you mentioned?
I suspect that trying to make a claim if anything were to happen could be very difficult.

£300 is the total cost or per person?

How many people are going? The excess will be per person
