If you do some part time work but you don't know how many hours you'll be doing each month how does it affect UC. It's Stewarding work at a football stadium. When an event is on (match, concert ect) You request a shift and then you have to wait for it to be accepted, then you confirm it. The number of shifts will depend on the number of events each months and sometimes they will cancel your shift if they have enough people.
Come on you Irons

Each UC payment is based on your circumstances for the previous calender month, known as the assessment period.
So if you worked lots of hours your payment would be lower, if you didn't work many hours your payment would be higher.2 -

6 months of a zero UC payment cancels your claim, but if your stewarding is so hit and miss (and seasional) then you should be ok.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

It's what you are paid in an assessment period, so when your wages are paid will affect your UC payment.
