Hi, I’ve been in an IVA for 4 years and have put in a letter to end it as I want to just get my debts paid off. They said it will go down as a failed IVA and it will be on my credit file for 6 years. Is the 6 years referring to when I started the IVA or 6 years from failing and ending it?

The debts will show as defaulted for 6 years from the date of default or the start of your IVA.
The IVA will show in the public information section for 6 years from the date it started.

With the debts being so old some of them have gone into administration and the debt has cleared, the amount left on the other debts is now manageable and works out as less than was left to pay on the IVA0
