Burglars attempted to enter my house

Thanks everyone for the response. This house that I live in, is a rental. I am not the owner. So I am restricted in regards to what I can do to the door.

The landlord replaced the whole door, not just the panel.  I think the weakest part of the door is, that the panel can be easily separated from the frame. The panel is attached to the frame by long thin sheets (are they called beads?). I will try to attach a picture below. 

Is there any way that I can reinforce the door panel, any Amazon links?
Two weeks ago, it took less than ten seconds for the burglars to separate the door panel from the frame.

I saw a door security bar on Amazon. Link below. But I don't know if will help in my case. I want to close the letter slot at night and reinforce the door panel. Do you think it will work?

My new door picture is attached below. I want to use the security bar, with its y shaped part just above the mail slot. What do you all think?

I take it the corresponding beading on the outside is fixed, as it usually is with windows. So, 'all' you need to do is prevent access to the inside?
There must be a lock of some sort you can add to the inside of that letterbox slot to prevent it being used during the night?
You may need to run it past the LL first, as it'll almost certainly mean some mods/screwing to the door.

Perhaps a letterbox restrictor?  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Yale-P-YLPR-CH-Letterplate-Restrictor-Composite/dp/B00GURHCP8 (also available in white) - of course will make receiving post difficult.  Maybe you need some external deterrents - a security light, or a camera.  Cameras such as Eufy and Blink are not too expensive, battery powered and can be fixed out of reach.
