Morning everyone
Bright and sunny here this morning and it doesn't seem as cold as yesterday.
I had an appointment with a physio at our doctors surgery this morning but unfortunately it has been cancelled and is now next Tuesday.
Little one had her hospital appointment yesterday, she has to continue on her feeding plan for the next couple of weeks but DD has to try not to put her on her glucose feed through the day, which will be difficult if her sugars are very low.
Gers your contact lens were a good price, I pay £24 a month for mine! I couldn't be without them, as if I wore glasses I'd have to keep changing them, as I have one pair for close up and one for distances.
I also love sweet peas and plant some every year, they're my mams favourite too.
I hope everyone who is lunching out enjoys it. Must get on - hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Morning all. It was a very chilly start early doors this morning but the sun is out and the sky an almost cloudless bright blue, at least for now as there could be a few light showers later on. Like @Gers, I've had a couple of boiled eggs for breakfast and will be doing my weekly Co-op run soon. Nothing else in particular planned but I'm sure I can find something to keep me out of mischief.
I did look at paint colours yesterday afternoon and have confused myself. I've always gone for neutral in the living room - think cream, magnolia etc - but was fancying something different. On the couple of occasions when I did have a change, it was a complete disaster so a decision on what colour I get is temporarily on hold until I'm in a more decisive mood.
Back in November I contacted the Housing Dept to ask for the tenancy to be changed to my name only and they eventually got back to me at the end of last month to confirm. I thought it was done and dusted with, but no. My local Housing Manager rang yesterday and we've made an appointment for him to visit on Friday morning to "discuss". Not sure what needs to be discussed but while he's here I'll be raising the sagas of the water ingress and the non-collection of the recycling bins.Seize the day and all that.
@SO - I love sweet peas too and wallflowers. In fact, any of the old fashioned fragrant flowers rather than the fashionable showy ones that don't smell of anything.
@-taff - No sign of Suzy this morning.
I hope the lunches are enjoyable for those lunching out and am pleased to hear the Poodles are recovering. Commiserations for those who've had their plans scuppered. Take care and wrap up warm, that sun is deceiving! XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -

My contacts were optimised for driving and I had to wear readers for other stuff. Now I have one pair of glasses but don't wear them for close up reading or using the PC.I'll probably have to have cataract surgery on my left eye in the not too distant future. That'll be a PIA as one eye will have good vision and one won't, I'd hope for both being done at the same time.@SuffolkSue - good to hear that you're feeling better, still, take things easy for a few days.@WL - enjoy your afternoon tea.@Mehefin - happy recyling!@DP1 - shame about the cancellation, fingers crossed for the new one next week.My new saucepans have just arrived, it's time to give them a wash. Old ones will be going to a friend's daughter in a couple of weeks time so the boxes will be reused.

@Gers - I had my cataracts done last year but they don't do them both at the same time - you wouldn't be able to see otherwise. If you need both doing there will probably be 4-6 weeks between the two surgeries. Worth having done and not as bad as you might think, although it can be a bit stressful if you're squeamish about eyes! And you will need someone to pick you up afterwards - no driving for a while.Be kind to others and to yourself too.5

And you will need someone to pick you up afterwards - no driving for a while.I read on the NHS website:https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/cataract-surgery/
If you have cataracts in both eyes it may be recommended that both eyes are treated on the same day. This procedure is known as immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery (ISBCS). ISBCS is usually only recommended for people thought to have a low risk of complications. The surgeon will discuss this with you if this is an option.
Otherwise, surgery is done 6 to 12 weeks apart to allow the recovery one eye at a time.
Fingers crossed! Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself, it may not be needed.
