Moorside Legal parking fine. Letter of Claim

Hi, I got a letter through to say I had not paid a fine for parking without clearly displaying my permit (it had rolled up in the heat). Someone must have taken the yellow fine off my windscreen as I never had one. Anyway long story short, I stupidly ignored it and several letters from Moorside legal but have now received a letter of claim from them. I’m guessing I should not ignore this one??
Any advice please?

As above. Obviously no paying it.

That confuses me 🙈 so do I literally write an appeal and copy it word for word? What will happen after that? As they will have photos of my car with the permit rolled up. Just a annoys me that I have to pay a fine to park outside my own house

The first few paragraphs of the second post in the NEWBIES thread explain exactly how to deal with a Letter of Claim.

It is all really confusing to me, there’s a lot to read through on the newbies page and I just don’t understand it to be honest. I’ll just set up a payment plan, but thanks all.

Woah so you will waste money just because you don't want to follow some straight forward instructions
    Sorry but that's really daft
An even easier thing to do is Do nothing and wait for the court claim and then just use the copy and paste defence even easier

No you won't. Nobody does that.

You aren't appealing either. KeithP has linked you to the second post of the NEWBIES thread and it's literally copy & paste. Anyone can do this.

There’s no need to be rude, it’s not that I don’t want to follow simple instructions. I was told to read the newbies part, it says “one for all template” in which I copied and put in an envelope ready to send. Then someone else says to read the section 2 which is a different template, then there’s links to click if you want to end it differently and it just overwhelmed me last night. I also wasn’t sure if you wrote it word for word as I don’t understand the £70 fee part as there’s nothing about £70 on my letter so wasn’t sure what was the right one to do. Hence me asking for advice

Do nothing then until you get a court claim
    Then use the template defence.
