Extended Car Warranty

Hello, we bought a Peugeot 3008 (2018) car in April 2023 with an extended warranty and experienced engine problems about 5 weeks ago. The car is with a Peugeot approved garage at the moment and they refuse to deal with our warranty insurance as they say they have payment issues with them. They will try to get Peugeot to pay for the repairs but they won’t cover everything.
We bought the extended warranty for situations like this but the garage doesn’t want to deal with that insurance company. 

Can they actually do that? Where are our rights here? Has anyone dealt with something like this before?

Was car bought from a Peugeot dealer or 3rd party independent?
Who is the warranty with? As many 3rd party do not cover that much.

If dealer has had issues with getting paid, then you can see why they will not do the work, & would say that is their right.
Usually 3rd party warranties will tell you which dealers you can go to, as they will not be wanting to pay main dealer costs.

When you experienced engine problems, why not check with the warrant company what you should do?  It appears there are some issues between this insurance company and your Peugeot garage.

Perhaps this garage does a complete job rather than the bare minimum to address the warranty issue - and hence the insurance company think the claim amount is inflated.  Perhaps the parts or labour prices at this garage are too high.
