Help with finding a good travel insurance company

I’m traveling soon to different parts of Asia and I’m losing the will to live finding a good travel insurance company. They all seem to be same and I can’t help but look at the nightmare stories

cam anyone recommend a good company for me? I don’t want to spend loads of money but I need peace of mind for my electronics, cancellations and health insurance

So you want a great policy but dont want to have to pay for it?

Personal Possessions/electronics are easier insured on your Home policy under the PP or All Risks section as long as your total holiday duration is within their limit, budget policies are often 30 days or less, those better policies you dont want to pay for can be 90 days or unlimited.

Cancellation and Health are the bread and butter of travel insurance. Go for a company underwritten by a house hold name like Axa, Aviva or UK Insurance (aka Direct Line) and you can't go TOO wrong but even they offer budget policies and full fat policies so your wanting to save on premiums may push you to one with more T&Cs that are more strictly applied.

Did I say I didn’t want to pay for it? No. I just don’t want to overpay. This is my first time applying for any travel insurance so it’s a little overwhelming. I don’t have home insurance so I can’t use that policy unfortunately

I can say that we had a very good experience with Columbus Direct when my wife broke her leg in New Zealand.
