Bought fake cosmetics - how best to proceed

Hi - would be grateful for some advice.
I bought some branded cosmetics on eBay, goods arrived last Friday. Rather than premium, the item looks very generic and after doing some research realised that the same product is being sold elsewhere as a Chinese-made product without the brand name label.
I messaged the buyer on Saturday asking if this is an authentic product but they haven’t replied.
What should I do now? Just initiate a return? Report to eBay?
I paid via credit card but the amount is around £30. Thanks

I'd start by opening an SNAD case on ebay (be careful to choose the correct case and don't choose the return for change of mind) , then wait for ebay to issue you a return label that seller will be charged for.
Take photos of everything you have, if necessary upload them to the case.

There are two types of return. One is for change of mind, the other (this covers your problem) is Item Not As Described (INAD). Be sure to open the latter type case.2
