Thanks for the start Scarlet
I’m back - loveiy few days away in the sunshine and a new campervan ordered 😬😍. A bit fraught at times for a number of reasons not least some pretty mediocre customer service at one place however now I’ve had time to relax, I’m excited. Thistle (new van name (needed to be floral as my current one is Poppy and new van has a Scottish registration)) should be ready in a couple of months. So back to work today to get some much needed pennies!I’ve been reading along - hope all have enjoyed some sunshine and have a good week ahead

Now back, it's a bit grey here, may brighten up.
Hope you enjoyed your lunch out yesterday Mehefin, and that the horses are all right.
Weenancy, it was interesting to read about your life and family.
Rosy, I can't crotchet at all - my sister once tried to teach me but she was left handed and I'm not, so it didn't work. My mother could as well . They could both sew, knit and crochet whereas I can only sew.
We're off to Whitby today, can't get into the flat till 3 pm so there's no rush. I know the weather will be variable but it will still be nice.
Hope everyone has a good day, and thinking of Mr Chrisca, SuffolkSue and anyone else with health concerns.
Take care folks.15 -

Thanks I’m feeling better but feak and weeble ( as DH used to say !)
Everything has stopped (tmi ) and I’ve lost 4 lb v welcome but perhaps better ways
The shower room has been bleached to within an inch of its life and the washing machine is working overtime .
I am following the 48 hr rule so everything cancelled for today and possibly tomorrow .
certainly the worst bug I’ve had for a very long time .Heaven knows where it came from .
Stay safe everyone14 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Happy holiday whatever the weather has in store. Ooh excitement ALLIE and welcome Thistle!!
I am skulking in the bathroom with a colour on my hair. Much needed as the white roots were taking over! My late BFF had white hair and when she lost her hair through chemo she got a couple of white wigs. I asked if I could try one on to see what I would look like with white hair. Oh I didn't like how I looked so the colouring goes on!
No plans for the day other than the blooming dosset boxes to fill again first job. That job rolls around too fast. There will then be lots of little catch up jobs waiting if I cba.
On the subject of crochet, my grandma taught me once I had mastered knitting and for years I carried on doing both, as well as sewing. Now I do none of them and occasionally I am tempted to start again. Out of the 3 DGDs only the youngest persevered learning both but despite coping ok with the basics she has never progressed beyond that.
Oh well waffling over and it's time to rinse the colour off I think. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Good morning all - and thanks to @Scarlet for starting us off. Congratulations to @Allie on the new Thistle, I wish you wonderful days in her. Happy Whitby @Scarlet, it's a great place to explore. I'm glad that you're feeling better @Suffolksue- norvo is a nasty virus at the best of times. I hope that you can get out in the sunshine @Rosy. You'll feel great after your hair colour @TA and ready to face the world. Did your beloved Dad enjoy his birthday @DP1?My Sunday was rather fabulous. The early drive down to Glasgow was enjoyable, apart from the dense fog at Loch Lomond, and I arrived in good enough time to do a quick zoom to Wrose. The good times stayed as I miraculously found a parking space on the busiest road in the West End of Glasgow, not far from the restaurant. Crossword friend brought me my requested Christmas present book, my unrequested birthday present, a bottle of my most favourite Sancerre and some chocolates. We feasted well, I had roast pork loin whilst he had poached salmon. Only one glass of wine each and mine was watered down with soda. After a really enjoyable lingering lunch I drove him home, he's almost 80 and has COPD, before having a wonderful drive home in clear, bright and sunny weather. Fraught Thursday has been replaced with happy memories of Friday and Sunday.Today may not be so bright and sunny but I have the front door open to get some air into the house. I'm going to my exercise class later this morning and then have to go up north to collect and M&S order. In hindsight I should have arranged it to be sent to either of the two branches in Glasgow which I could go to yesterday - too late!I hope that everyone has at least some of the joys of Spring zinging through them, and big hugs to our poorlies who are not feeling their best.12

Morning all
Its a bit overcast here this morning but hopefully the sun will make an appearance later on I have a wash on the go and it would be good to hang the washing out.
I spent yesterday jet washing the patio and the table and chairs it looks so much better now, OH had emptied my ‘pond’ which is actually a sheep trough so I cleaned that out and have left it to air, I will fill it up again later, I got most of the pots ready for planting but then ran out of steam so will finish them next weekend it looks all clean and ready for summer 😃
Rob coming today but our friends have an appointment so we will just have a day at home and do some baking and re fill the pond he will like doing that, I am interested in seeing how his skin is this morning.
Dinner tonight is borsin chicken which is a dish dd makes she is off work this week so will cook a few nights which saves me a job.
Scarlett enjoy your break xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Good morning all
A cloudy start today but at least its dry, looks a bit misty too.
Oh has been making sounds that he needs to go to the nearest town to the auto centre for something or other you can tell I was listening. Honestly, I'm sure the road closure is a red rag to a bull to him, he has to go out so he can moan about it. My only complaint is where they have placed the road closed signs in the road on a bend. Not easy going round them to get to our house.
Enough trumping from me. Allie, how exciting.
Sue, hope you continue to improve.
Scarlet, enjoy your break.
Sorry if I've forgotten anyone, oh belated birthday wishes to dp1's dad.
Have a good day all take care.10 -

Hi everyone,
Well, I had an unusual day yesterday. For a while I have occasionally been p[agued by my bottom lip swelling as if I've been bitten, once it was the soft tissues in my mouth behind my bottom teeth, yesterday my top lip got in on the act. I looked like I'd overdone the fillers, think the worst trout pout ever. It gradually went down during the day but I still look as if I've been injecting stuff in my upper lip. Reading Dr Google it seems as if it's a fairly common thing with no known cause or cure, just wait for it to go down.
Both children are in school and nursery today so I'll have time to myself today and dinner will be a super easy mac'n cheese. Steve will be going over to work some more on the stables, he's putting the floor down now.
Hugs for all the poorlies.
Have a good day.9
