Super Glue that doesn't dry in tube once opened.

Is there a superglue that doesn't dry in the tube once opened or should I just do what I usually do, buy half a dozen cheap tubes at a time and throw a tube away once opened?

Expel as much air from the tube as possible before replacing the cap.

Stick a small dressmakers pin in nozzle, keeps it from getting clogged and replace cap.

It is moisture that causes superglue to harden. If you can keep an opened tube in a very low humidity environment, is shouldn't "dry out" so quick.

I'm surprised that after many months or regular use it's still fine. I think it will be the same with other variations of Loctite in a similar bottle.

I've found this keeps fine for at least a couple of years, as do cheaper variants in similar plastic bottles. The only thing I make sure I do is to tap it on the counter after use before putting the lid back on, to clear the nozzle of glue before it dries up and blocks it.

Been using superglue regularly for a few years as a model maker. If you are buying it in the little tubes, I've found that they never last very long after opening. Thing is there's superglue, and there's super glue. I use something called GH1200 in a 20g bottle. The current bottle is a couple of years old and apart from occasionally having to hack off old glue near the nozzle, it's still going strong. But it's not instant fix stuff. It takes a bit longer to set which is why I got it. I did buy a packet of about 12 of the little tubes and I just throw them away when finished doing what I'm doing.

I have used the Loctite stuff before and those bottles and also the pens they do are good.

I tend to get relatively large bottles by Everbuild and pro-rata they are much cheaper than small tubes, they have a narrow nozzle on the top which I take care to clear out by squeezing the bottle to blow a bit of air up the nozzle and so keep it clear of glue that could dry. Also I store it upright.

I've found small bottles last longer than tubes, apart from a bit of nozzle clearing sometimes Screwfix 'no nonsense' brand is my go to choice currently
