Maturing Santander "Edge" Saver

My Edge Saver will be maturing soon. Does anyone know if I can just close it and open another?

    Yes you can, ask Sandi to "close account".

    Ask sandi to close it, then it takes her 2 to 5 days to fully close it. You have to await the official closing of the old one to open a new one.

    That's great thanks, wasn't sure if it was just a new customer offer.

    Hi OP ... (Qyburn) I've recently been through this myself.

    Just a note from my experience. Yes close the account and open another one, but Sandi tells you it will take up to 5 working days to close it ... i.e. dependant on how busy the team is. But if you phone and ask the agent to close it, it should take 'only' 2 working days.

    Matured on 3/6/25;
    Closed Savers with Sandi on 3/6/25;
    Disappeared from list on 7/6/25;
    Reapplied on 9/6/25 early morning. Received OLA ref at the end of application stating that "it can take up to 3 working days, but usually done within a couple of hours". Still haven't receive an email regarding this. Account is not in the list online either.
    Online chat with agent could not see this application on his system and suggested to ring Customer Service. Would like to know if anyone have similar experience?
