New fence. Would appreciate peoples opinions

Got wooden fence in rear garden. Some were blown out in the recent strong winds. At least 3 out of 9 panels need replacing but as they are the ‘cheaper’ type of overlap fences I am going to replace all 9.
I would like to hear peoples opinions on the plastic composite type fences(and what to look for if I buy them:are there different types etc?)
The alternative is the much stronger close board wooden fencing which I guess will be cheaper than the composite.
Thanks in advance

Ultimately it's aesthetics and your preference. Plastic will obviously last the longest, but a good closed board fence can last decades.2

There was a thread a few weeks ago, where someone had opted for metal fences, but I think they were more expensive again.0

I think if you can have smaller ones with a trellis top you'll find they do better in gales.I went for feathered ones, they're sturdy, treated and provided there's somewhere for the wind to get through they'll fare better. Small space at the base for instance.Don't know about plastic stuff of larger size. There's a lot of the composite ones been put on the beach huts near me but it's not been long enough to find out how they deal with wind and rain long termIs there anywhere in the area where someone's got them? Driving round? I wonder if there's a reason they aren't being used.

We’ve just replaced 17 panels - the only things I’d recommend is concrete gravel boards and concrete posts. That way you’ll always be able to replace the panels with relative ease2006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.

We have a composite deck that is doing a good job and much better than wood as our children walk on it and no worries of splinters. Our only concern is it is starting to fade in the part furthest from the house that is always in the sun and looks a little rough. I'm not sure if I would replace a fence with composite as it may be too much.
Have a look at this blog, it looks like it will help - Composite vs Wooden Fences1
