Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's foggy here, yesterday wasn't a bad day.
We weren't out at all yesterday, just busy round the house.
I don't know if I need to go out today, I'll decide later..Hope everyone is all right and has a good day.
Take care folks.15 -
It's very foggy here too, I hope that it lifts as there's maybe sun hiding behind it.I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast out yesterday morning, more so than usual as I asked to exchange the toast for bacon. The bread is made in the cafe and really delicious but I generally find that any bread leaves me feeling a bit bunged up. My only other productive action was to collect my meds. The day turned so lovely, warm and bright. I had my front door open until after 6p.m., the first time in ages, I so like having the door open. This morning I'll be away down to Glasgow shortly. I'm having my belated birthday lunch with my late DM's crossword friend and it's also a sort of celebration as today would have been her 97th birthday. In anticipation of another warm day I've ditched the woolly tights for socks, something I may regret later in the day. I can always drape a throw over my legs when driving home if needed.I wish everyone a happy sunny day and that the poorlies get some relief from their pains.14

Morning
Sun just peeping out, another bright day forecast. It's so lovely to go out without a coat on, although it's set to change this week.
No plans for today, I'll try and catch up with Sort your life out, no Call the Midwife to look forward to. Pulled pork for dinner, probably with jackets and coleslaw.
Have a good day all, take care.14 -

Morning All
A beautiful, bright and sunny morning here, one load of washing is already on the line with a towel wash to go in after I've been for a swim.
Had a good day at the allotment yesterday, dug over and weeded the beds although they will probably need doing again before anything is planted out. I got stuck into cleaning the kitchen at the allotment - I'm surprised no one has died it was so filthy - mainly ment who just go in for a cuppa. They seem to bring in food and just leave it to go rotten! I'm going to the other allotment later to dig over for the potatoes to go in, could be a bit early but I'll give them a go.
Washing all dried yesterday although it wasn't particularly sunny it was warm.
Good result at the Rugby, my cousin who lives in Wales and I were messaging each other with thoughts on the match - I'm not really that sure what's going on but I enjoy it anyway!
Have a safe trip Gers, the scenery should be stunning this morning and I don't think you'll miss your tights!
Hope the little one enjoyed her play therapy dp1 and happy birthday to your DDad.
Enjoy your holiday Scarlet.
Hugs to anyone in need.
Enjoy Sunday, take care. XX12 -
Morning all, seems nice again.Nothing in particular planned for today. DH having a lie in after his hard work in the kitchen yesterday when we had DB/SiL around for a meal. We enjoyed ourselves and there should be enough left for today. We might get chance to pressure wash the back, it gets very green due to the tall conifers.Next door did his yesterday and was left embarassed when he did the low gate between us at the back, turned out it's gone rotten and he blasted a piece off. DH will make another out of fencing panels, won't be as pretty but might last a bit longer- we certainly don't want it to go altogether and risk their dog coming to visit!Good footballing day for us yesterday and DGS scored a goal so was pleased.A parcel from the bay of E arrived yesterday- I'd ordered a hand made crocheted cardigan, the workmanship is fantastic, you can hardly see any joins, & makes my crochet attempts look very amateurish, good thing I only make blanketsRight, time to put the kettle on, DH is making his way downstairs.Have a good day all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Good morning from a sunny but chilly Mehefinland.
Why do I seem to have the only horse that reacts to a flu jab!!! Showman was 'done' on Friday and seemed ok. Yesterday morning he could hardly eat as he couldn't bend his neck down to the ground. I held his feed bucket and he wolfed it down , but if I put it on the ground he ignored it. Rugged him and turned him out and he was still not eating - a red flag! I had to pop home ( its literally a 5 minute walk) and when I got back to the field he had hardly moved and was looking pretty miserable. Carried on with the chores with one eye on him so to speak, until I turned around and he was waiting at the door of the barn to come back in. Another red flag. Anyway he came in, I gave him a small haynet and called the emergency vet service for advice. A lovely young lady rang me back and said that occasionally horses react to where they have been injected( a bit like we do) and possibly he had a small reaction to the serum. Raise his feed and water buckets so he doesn't need to bend and give him some pain relief. Did all the above and he seemed happier. Fairy was grumpy as she had to come in too ( it doesn't help that she is showing signs of being in season too).
This morning he is much better and is currently out in the field grazing, so hopefully we are over the soreness thing.
In all the years I have been involved with horses this is the first time I have encountered anything like this. Just goes to show that there is some truth in that saying about learning something new every day. It didn't help in that as I was holding him on Friday I couldn't see where he was actually injected, so the other suggestion of warm compresses was not really do-able.
Popped across to our nearest L*dl in the afternoon and got the last 3 trays of primulas , for the front garden ( 1 tray is going to the library planters) and some bits and bobs from the middle aisle. A few goodies found their way into the trolley too!
Out to lunch today at some good friends so need to crack on.
Hugs and spoons as always.

Morning everyone
Yesterday was a beautiful day , the sun shone all day till about 5pm when it went cold very quickly. I had a lovely few hours with little one, we made cupcakes and then iced them ready for today. Then she had a play on her slide while I sat and watched her. After my hair cut, I sat outside reading for the rest of the afternoon. I could have started tidying out there but I didn't!
I'll be going down to mam and dads shortly, then back down again later for his birthday tea...he's 90 today.
Hope everyone has a good day today x13 -
