Had a HP laptop for last few years but not happy especially with battery performance.
Main use for laptop is to essentially browse and watch videos and stream on netflix etc.
Need a 17 inch screen and preferably one with an ethernet port.
Any suggestions and also where to buy from.
Budget £500

I'd look at Lenovo, I have a fairly basic laptop from them that I use for study (word processing) internet browsing and *cough* playing The Sims 4.0

The batteries do wear out with age, normally it isn't too difficult to replace them.

eBay? Though be careful as there are likely some dangerous ones on there.sultan123 said:

If you can open the back of the laptop and get the part number for the battery it would probably be easier to find a replacement from a legitimate sourc0 -

Quite a lot of laptops where the battery is a user-changeable part, the battery does not require "opening the back" as such, i.e. actually undoing screws to gain access to the insides. The battery is often a "pop-out" item with a slider or button to unlock.sultan123 said:I cant open back
The main exception is the "net-book" and similar devices where the battery is just another component soldered in as part of the motherboard.
