Sourcrates is it the same.with the 4 that have defaulted? As in are the defaulted ones more serious.and more difficult to pause ? I understand i can send the cca for all but an old overdraft.

If so I could send the letters. Wait for the next payment to go out then cancel the dd to stapchange and take each account by its own merit whenever letters arrive?

    Thankyou both

The defaulted ones are not more serious than the others.

None of them are difficult to pause, you do realize a DMP is an informal arrangement, so you can pause, stop, change amount you pay at any time.

Like I said you are in charge not your creditors.

You can send a CCA request to any qualifying debt as long as a balance remains on that account, that is the only criteria required.

Makes no difference if the debt is defaulted, has an arrangement to pay, is being ignored, or has a normal plan in place, and once you stop making regular contractual repayments, you are no longer subject to a statutory repayment plan.

Debt management is informal, there are no rules to follow here, one unsecured debt is no more important than another.

You don`t have to stop payments on the already defaulted debts, but whilst your requests are being processed, no payments are required to be made.

In the mean time whatever you do don't speak to any of these people, ignore phone calls, texts and E Mails but open any letter you may receive by snail mail.

Whatever they say to you don't panic and come back if you are at all worried by anything.

No point in using signed for, costly and unlikely to get the response you want. Just get a certificate of posting for each letter.

Do you have a local library where you can scan the letters? And a memory stick? Not necessary but useful.

    Some headway with cca requests.
5 x link ones have apologised the original creditors can't get the paperwork in time but will come back with info when they do,
N*xt have said they don't accept postal orders as payment and nothing else..so not sure if that means they will provide the request or are waiting for a £1 some other way but will give it a few weeks
1 x agreement back from very and from Moorcroft for hsbc cc.
1 x we are investigating from westcot for natwest
Nothing from hsbc repayment services for the 6k loan and nothing yet from my very or lowell.
So paid the £500 monthly to sc at the end of last month after sending the requests.
Now think will put it on hold. For next month to see how the land lays.
Just pay the 2 x overdraft payments, 1 x very and the £6k defaulted hsbc loan payment myself online and then put the rest aside while waiting for the ccas for full and final settlements.
The link payments alone come to £175.
So might be able to then chip away at the smaller creditors.
Eg n*xt is £200, a link one £600, a very one £600 and most of others around £1k mark.
The alternative on 24k of debt which we pay SC £500 a month on, 3 years into a dmp which started at 42k is another 5 years.
Really want to get this gone in the next 2 to 3 and to start our debt free happily ever after.

    Happy Easter all
