CCA help please

Options
Hi there,
My husband and I are on a dmp with stepchange which was at 42k and is now at 24k.
I'm wanting to write off for cca requests, 5 in my name and 4 on his but have some questions please.

I have one at approx £6k with hsbc repayment services from 2018 - do I write to hsbc directly or hsbc repayment services? Is.it too new to likely be unenforceable?
I can't work out which address.
I alsp have 2 with link, one at £3k, one at £2.5k and one at £700.
In the same order they were taken out in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Are they too new to likely not have agreements?
If worth sending off for please can someone let me know whether the london registered address, po address in London or Caerphilly address to write to please?
Finally I have one with moorcroft which was a hsbc CC from way back around 2002/2003 for £1.5k
Would this be mororcroft, hsbc or hsbc repayment services to write too please?

Does a £1 postal order need to be.sent- on another post I saw they don't but not sure.

Finally my husband has one for westoct which was natwest for 2.5k - would he write to westcot or natwest please?
He has one for lowell which was a 118 CC, would he write to lowell?

Feeling really overwhelmed but so wanting to see if any are unenforceable.

Thankyou so much for any help !

Before you send CCAs you ought to stop paying these debts.

Cancel your DMP and start saving the money you would have sent to Stepchange to save for an Emergency and Final Payment fund.

Then wait and see who contacts you about the debts and take it from there.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

You write to whoever is currently collecting that debt from you, at the address shown on any paperwork from them.

It is then their responsibility to request those documents from the original creditor.

I would send the £1 postal orders, but leave them blank, some charge the statutory fee still, others do not.

Its always worth sending a CCA request, even recent accounts can sometimes have missing paperwork.

You can always ask for the CCA. The recent one with HSBC repayment services is a very slim chance and the Westcot one is pretty likely!

@grumplestiltskin I wish I had done this in 2022 but had never missed a payment and was scared of missing them- is it too late now to do what you said?
I'm just worried I'm not confident enough to handle eg expenditure forms to creditors when they do start contacting. Currently pay £500 a month tphigh and could really do with an EF. Just frightened of eg ccjs and not being able to manage them all.

@sourcrates thankyou so much, does that include the moorcroft one (had read somewhere.they aren't really a dca and to maybe go to hsbc for them) thankyou for your help

Moorcoft and Wescott are collection agents who work on behalf of their clients only, that`s all they do, they do not buy the debts they chase, so have zero power to influence anything.

There are occasions when you send a CCA request to one of them, where their response will be to return the account to the client.

In that case you would re-send the request to the client themselves at the ordinary customer service address on the clients website.

Yes catalogues are credit agreements and you should have signed to agree to ts & cs.

If you stop paying the debts that are still marked Arrangement to Pay they will on s few months default that starting the 6 year period to disappear.

Nothing terrible happens, you will get letters, phone calls, texts  (block all the phone numbers) and E Mails.

When you receive defaults on your credit reports then send CCA requests, if they can't produce valid CCAs then they can't be enforced, so you can just not pay If they do produce CCAs you can use what you have saved and make low Final payment offers.

Whilst this is happen do not be tempted to speak to any of the creditors.
