Currently buying a flat

2 days ago it wasn't even on my radar, but... kids, and stuff.
It's been 20 years since I last bought a property, and that was a house, so I might just as well be an FTB in terms of my experience here.
So, starter question for 10... this isn't at all local to us, are there any reputable online resources for finding an equally reputable solicitor and surveyor? There is quite a bit of cracked plasterwork (and there was the same in an almost identical flat we viewed in the block next door) so I want to make sure it gets checked out properly...
(Im sure I'll have plenty more questions along the way if this actually happens...)

We’re buying in a new to us area. I used local Facebook groups for recommendations. Checked out websites for the suggestions and got a short list. Then spoke to the companies and went with the ones that I felt suited us. Really happy with our broker, surveyor and conveyancing solicitor. Good luck!2
