Morning all. Up early as sleep pattern is upside down. Only had 3 hours sleep on the plane home yesterday so managed to hang out until 9 last night and then woke at 5 this morning. Had a lovely holiday except first day/night when it seems cabin pressure on a long flight upsets DHs prostate which meant he coudn't pee so we spent the first night of our holiday at a local hospital where he had a catheter fitted which meant no swimming for the entire holiday which put a bit of a downer on it. Getting investigated now we are home. Mad thing is the exact same thing happened 5 years ago, again on holiday where, when we got home, he was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate which has caused no problems since, until now that is.Plenty of washing and ironing to keep me busy over the next couple of days though!Hope everyone is well here. Will catch up later. Hugs to all who need one x12

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday Chrisca, but sorry to read about your dh's problem, hope it can sorted out.
It's fine here, I might get some washing out.
It'll be a quiet day here, just preparing for our little holiday.
Hope everyone else has a good day, take care folks.11 -

Are you going away for your birthday @Scarlet? Welcome back @Chrisca, what a shame about your OH's health woes. @DP1, it's still a worrying time for you and your DD.Well, yesterday was a much better and much less fraught day. No fraughtness at all.
After my wardrobe dive I took the four musty jackets to the dry cleaners, they don't actually dry clean any more, seems to be a wet dry cleaning without any of the nasty chemicals. Once the jackets were handed over I took away the huge amount of paper / cardboard and glass recycling to the just emptied dumpsters. That made me very happy..
In the evening I had been invited to the big house for a couple of drinks. I hadn't been in it since the elderly owner died last March, it felt odd being there without him but the chap up the hill (his son) and his wife had it warm and cosy. A roaring fire, two smelly dogs, some tasty white wine and great chat made for a lovely time. Then the chap played his chanter for a wee while, a bit of tartan time!More listenable music came on later so we had the best of both worlds. It was a very enjoyable interlude and a fine end to my week.
This morning I have to go into town to collect my meds then I'll head up to my favourite wee cafe for some breakfast. The rest of the day is open to anything that comes along.I hope that everyone has a good day - hugs to all.12 -
Good morning all
A bright start to the day. I've been lying in bed listening to the dawn chorus outside, lovely.
I missed coming on here yesterday, and I think maybe the day before. I've been enjoying lots of walks in the sunshine with big dog admiring the spring flowers. Only trouble is my hay fever has set in. I'm always surprised when this happens, you'd think I'd be used to it by now.
Trying to think of different meals, last night was a prawn salad, very enjoyable and made a change. Tomorrow I'm doing pulled pork, just got the meat out of the freezer to defrost, no idea about tonight yet.
I've been reading along, glad the MOTs went well.
Ruby, belated birthday wishes, and good to hear Robs rash is improving.
Chrisca, sorry to hear about your Oh, hope he gets sorted soon, but glad you still enjoyed your holiday. Happy laundry.
Have a good day all, hugs to anyone I've missed out. Take care.12 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, glad you're feeling more upbeat today and enjoyed your evening out. Pleased to hear your car had no problems.
It's getting brighter outside but a bit damp and misty - apparently we can look forward to sunshine and temperatures of up to 14 degrees! Bedding is ready to peg on the line and another load to go in once I've had a shower.
Belated Happy Birthday Ruby, hope you enjoyed your day and glad the car passed it's MOT.
Enjoy your holiday Scarlet, I've never been to Whitby.
Welcome home Chrisca, hope your OH is ok.
The little one and I managed to get into school on time, she did some drawing until it was time for Breakfast Club to open and seemed to enjoy it although she had already had some breakfast before we left home! She came back with me after school and her Mum and Dad came for her on their way home. They had a good day and brought me some lovely curries/dhal/bhajis for my dinner - very tasty. I was in bed very early last night and had a good sleep.
Today I'm going to the allotment to get started on the year's growing, quite looking forward to it.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. That sounds a good evening you had last night. After a lapse yesterday the sun has his hat on again this morning and we are forecast a warm sunny w/e. Then winter is coming back on Monday.
Welcome back CHRISCA. I hope your DH is ok. The self same thing happened to my DF's DH when they were over from Oz last summer. He spent their first night here in hospital and he had a catheter in for the whole 3 weeks of their stay.
It's Supermarket Sweep this morning with DS. Quite a few tins on the list, to replace the ones I "borrowed" for my caravan store cupboard stock up last w/e. And whilst on the subject of the van, DD's DP and his plumber friend are going over tomorrow for the friend to assess the problem. Fingers will be crossed that it's something fixable and won't end up with us needing a new boiler! (£ signs rolling round my eyes!!)
Once my shopping has been put away I might venture outside and resume the tidying which didn't last very long last week. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. SCARLET if I have remembered correctly and your birthday is imminent have a good one! Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning everyone
The sun is shining and I have my washing out on the line.
I was tired after work yesterday so I had a lovely bath at 4pm, little one found it hilarious when she rang to tell me about her day. She seems to have been quite happy at her first session with the play therapist, she was very impressed by the playmobil hospital.
DD has just texted to say she'll bring her up soon for a couple of hours, then I'm getting my hair cut at 1pm. We have cakes to make for my dads' birthday tomorrow, he will be 90.
Best get the ingredients out ready for her.
Hope you all have a good day today12 -
Hi everyone,
I've had a very full on week with some form of childcare every day culminating in babysitting last night while L and B went for a meal. Some of it was on the fly ie L going to a Dr appointment and B saying he had to finish some work. I keep thinking they'll come to their senses and decide Bristol is too far away. Probably not though.
We had Nate on Thursday, he was just getting over a bout of noro but we still got out to walk along the river at Ely it was so lovely.
I've missed news and events so I'll just say happy birthday to those with birthdays, March is a very popular month as I know to my cost.
Also hugs to all the poorly people.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers, sounds like a fun evening with your friends
Birthday wishes to @RedRuby1231 and @ScarletRibbons x
Sorry to hear of your DH's health issues @Chrisca50 not nice for him at all. Hope it gets sorted x
I'm off to London today for lunch with some LBK friends. It's a lovely day here so hoping I'll be able to dodge the underground and get some steps in/save some pennies at the same time.
Plasterer is booked in for end of April - no availability before then - so DD will be in DS2's room until then. We can get on and do some other bits ourselves in the meantime. DH starts at the school on Monday and I have a part-time role starting 17 March so some normality will resume, plus it'll be good to have some funds coming in.
Have a good day all,
