Would you buy a sandwich that the eat by date was over two months away?

I wouldn't.

I wouldn't.

I don’t buy sandwiches but I really don’t see any difference from buying lots of other items we would regard as perishable if we made them ourselves like cakes or crisps.1

Aye, to eat on day of purchase, but wouldn't keep it and then eat day before eat by date, unless it was brown bread.0

I’m hoping that was a typo! 😳• The rich buy assets.
• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.2 -

What kind of packaging is it? Maybe it's something special that they have in Spain (?) that we don't have here?1

It's looks airtight in just plastic, but still temperature controlled in a fridge (0 to 5)Cornucopia said:What kind of packaging is it? Maybe it's something special that they have in Spain (?) that we don't have here?

It's not uncommon for shops to sell items in chillers that do not need to be there. e.g. single-serve drinks.0

Why would anyone buy it? Its perfectly possible to make your own "fresh" UPF sandwich!HillStreetBlues said:Would you buy a sandwich that the eat by date was over two months away?

I'd probably go with the crisps and chocolate - at least you eat them in the full knowledge that they are empty calories and bad for you! A meal has to offer some nutrition but I appreciate you were pretty much stuck on that occasion.Mnoee said:
On the way home from a holiday and stuck at an airport gate much longer than expected, past security and customs - at least that was the last time I had a prepacked sandwich of a dubious nature. It was from a vending machine and didn't kill me.Rosa_Damascena said:

I'll absolutely take an unpopular vegetarian sandwich with an ultra long shelf life being available over it not existing at all. It was that or crisps and chocolate. Obviously if you're buying one daily I'd question why you wouldn't at least get a 'normal' meal deal one that's a bit fresher!
