British Bouquets

Apologies if this is the wrong Board.
Anyone had any dealings with https://www.britishbouquets.co.uk?
I ordered some flowers on-line from them on 24 December, to be delivered to my friend on the 28th Dec. Her husband had passed away suddenly.
I rang her on the 30th and she had not received them. She was not staying at her usual address, which I did not know. I was surprised the company had not rung me to say there was a problem. So I have emailed them twice and rang them twice on the 30th, 31st and today, and explained that my friend was not at that address, her husband had passed away, and that no-one had contacted me. They wouldn't put me through to customer services but said customer services would email me. Have rang them again just now, ringing off the hook.
I am £34 out of pocket, which isn't the important bit I know, but still, I did not receive the service I paid for. More importantly, my friend did not receive flowers off me, it was very important, I wanted her to know I was thinking of her at this terrible time.
What do I do next?

Awwwwww, Lou. How frustrating
On the site it says :
Should the recipient not be home when our courier calls we will attempt to deliver to a neighbour or post a card through the letterbox to inform the recipient of the attempted delivery. Finally, we may leave the gift in a safe location informing the
recipient by card that a delivery has been attempted. Please ensure the correct
address is provided for the recipient including the full postal code and if
possible a telephone number.

Hey you. She hasn't been back to the bar, as far as I am aware. They ran it together, and lived above it. I can understand why she has not been back. So, yes, they could have left a card there, which would still be there probably. But I did speak to the company early on the 30th and told them what had happened and was told someone would get back to me. Its now the 2 Jan and her husband passed away on 20 Dec and my friend still has no flowers from me. I can't get through to them on the phone either.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
Hmmmmmmm. I don't blame your friend either
Online reviews of them aren't good. Might be worth drawing that to their attention and asking them to do something to enable you to give them a glowing reviewWhen you get through
Alternatively you could try your credit card company - they might step in as a gesture of goodwill even though it's below the Section 75 amount.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:AThinks Naughty Things Too Much Clique Member No 3, 4 & 5

Well, there is still no answer and I have emailed them again.
Trouble is, with this sort of service, they can't make it right, so it really is inexcusable. Just read some of their reviews and customers saying how it had completely ruined surprises and birthdays. I have the funeral next week to go to and want to bring some flowers with me but money is tight, so I need the refund to put towards these flowers.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
I can't believe this is the same company, I have used them on 6 occasions now and they have never let me down. On one occasion the site would not process my transaction and I called the customer services team where a very friendly girl helped process my order for me. By this time it was passed the cut off time for next day delivery, but I was assured they would delivery it next day, and it did! I called to say thank you and once again got an immediate reply.
This has honestly been the best online florist ever! I wouldn't go anywhere else. I recommended them to all my friends and family and they have had nothing but professional, courteous and efficient service on each and every occasion.
Oh and the flowers are GORGEOUS and loved by everyone who received them, especially the funky gift bags.

Why is it always the people with next to no posts that have great things to say about companies I wonder? This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0

Ordered very expensive flowers and chocolates from web site (£50).
Order stated for delivery friday and got email confirming.
Friday evening - no delivery, no answer on phone at 5pm. Left message on answer phone. No point in delivering if not going to be friday.
Surley flower deliveries are very often date dependent.
Left same mesage via email.
Email back saturday - read turms and conditions (although we confirm we will deliver on a certain day - we can deliver when we want).
Emailed back (saturday morning 9 am) - cancel order and reimburse. No replay
Monday - flowers are already in transit cannot cancel order.
So the flowers were dispatched by a national courier on friday, going to be delivered today (monday) when there will be no-one in. Too late for reason sent.
Just how old are these flowers going to be by the time they are first seen?
https://www.britishbouquets.co.uk? look like an interflora wanabee.
In fact nothing like. No local delivery. No fresh produce. Why bother?
Wish I'd used interflora
