bt final bill

can any advise
cancelled bt line, turned off straightaway (parent passed away) informed bt that i want the bill sent to me which they confirmed, and still no bill, a week later called them again informing them still no final bill, again now another week has passed and still no final bill arrived
they confirmed my address to where the bill will be sent to
i dont need this hastle to pay a final bill, and this is for landline only no tv or internet etc just basic calls
if a BT REP is reading this can you get it sorted thank you

Bill is probably in the online portal / "my account" section and may not be "final" but more of a credit based on the pro-rata period between the notification of the termination, as its paid month in advance.0

do they have a bereavement team? not sure if they do but you might ask?

yes it was direct to there berevement team i called and said it would be sent straight out, still waiting 8 days now from that 2nd call

To be honest 8 days isn't very long. When my dad died recently it took weeks for some things to be settled.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Request that they email the final bill instead of posting it—this might speed things up.0

well almost 5 weeks and 4 calls to bt ive chased it up again
and been confirmed over the phone that the outstanding balance has been wrote off, £5.60

Glad its sorted mate. Had problems with BT after family passed and took months to sort, nice to hear they wrote it off1
