Have a Helpline attached to my landline and unable to get Full Fibre broadband

Options
I have a helpline, an actual landline (yes I know, but the mobile signal in my area is rubbish), sky bb/wifi. BB contract ended and for some mad reason I wanted to stay with Sky. Engineer was booked to come and drill whatever was necessary to get Full Fibre 75. His first words as he entered my living room -" i can't do this job as you have a helpline. You'll need to contact sky to get an exemption."
- phoned my helpline and they say that sky are responsible to give me a backup battery as well as the fibre connection. I already have a brand new digital helpline specifically because of the impending move from analogue to digital phones.
- there's been an awful lot of phone calls from me to sky to try and sort this out and in between I became out of bb contract so my fees instantly lept up. So now I'm the 'proud' owner of Superfast 35 bb and not the fibre I wanted. Tbh I don't really need it, it's only me using. I believe that when the analogue /digital happens, my landline and my helpline will cease to work.  Has anyone else had something like this happen or any words of encouragement for me, who actually thought she knew something about tech and is now very dismal.  Tvm.

If Helpline tells you that their device will work with a Full Fibre service, I'd be inclined to believe them.
Did Sky tell you it wouldn't, or just that they couldn't supply the backup battery that it needs to work during a power cut?

I'm with Virgin on their cable network. They dropped support for separate phone lines a while back, forcing you to plug any telephone in to the back of the modem (VOIP). All well and good until power or internet goes down. After much head banging, Virgin eventually supplied me with a Motorola FW500+sim free of charge. Should power or internet go down, I can still make emergency phone calls and receive incoming calls (if only I knew the mobile number it uses).

Ask Sky if they can supply you with an Emergency Backup Line (EBUL) - I suspect they don't as yet, but it doesn't hurt to ask. That said, if you are in a crappy area for mobile phone signal, then an EBUL is likely to be problematic.

I had to fight with Virgin Media not to have an emergency phone connected at my old house. Tried to tell me that it was required. Our landline phone was connected to the modem but they told me that this emergency phone would work even during a power cut. It can be done - this was over a year ago.

That's a very different situation to the OP's, though.

Not sure what the point of your post was but the OP was asking what can be done when their analogue landline disappears as they think everything will cease working. Here is a quote - "I believe that when the analogue /digital happens, my landline and my helpline will cease to work". As I explained in my post, they could have a landline and helpline without it being analogue. Thanks for the input though.

No problems, it's always worth clarifying these things.

you should have recieved that infomation with the documentation accompaniying the  device  and /or the sim

BT  say the following aobut their deployment of the device  https://www.bt.com/help/landline/digital-voice-phones/hybrid-phone

a little research with the model number and  Virgin media  as the search terms returns the following

" lls made during a network outage or power cut will use a mobile number beginning 07 which is printed under the EBUL.  "  on page 36 of you  phone use guide ( page 19   of https://store.virginmedia.com/content/dam/eSales/Downloads/Phone User Guide.pdf  due to multiple printed pages appearing on one  A4 sheet i nthe PDF)

    https://community.virginmedia.com/discussions/Telephone/does-ebul-v3-need-to-be-connected-to-the-router/5519080

so it appears that  VM  install the sim and attach a label to the device  before dispatch
