How do I check the timing on my E7?? I barely understand which one meter is for which type anyway so any help understanding would be greatly appreciated please.

Look at the clock, is it right? Look at the markings nearr midnight...can you see an arrow?
Mine is the more modern grey box with "Radio clock" on it

If it's an old fashioned mechanical timed meter there will be a round dial with a 24hr clock printed around the outside. Near midnight there will be a little clip that switches on the econ7 and a clip at about 7am that switches off. Somewhere near the dial there should ba a pointer to indicate the time now.
