Can you not replace it with hive, as that's what you are used to?
They should all work with combi boilers
Tado is apparently good too
I have Hive and find it ok, main gripe is that if I want to pause the hot water, say in the case I don't want the tank heating up again in the evening I either need to turn it off and then remember to turn it back on again, or use the holiday mode which is a bit fiddly0 -

if your new boiler supports OpenTherm then you should get a controller that is OpenTherm compatible; Hive is I beleive https://community.hivehome.com/s/article/Hive-OpenTherm-versus-Hive-Standard-Relay-Mode
But won't your new house already have a thermostat and controller?Reed1 -

Yes with the Nest I really appreciate the automatic switch to eco if we’re out and being able to override that so it’s warm when we get in.Fashion on the Ration

Drayton Wiser0

Seconded. I fitted the Drayton Wiser system a couple of years ago and it has done exactly what it says on the tin. The radiator valves are a bit expensive and really fit best on existing Drayton TRVs, to avoid any replumbing. You can buy a pack of valves which brings the price down a bit. I didn't change out the TRVs in the rooms that we don't use much in order to save a bit of money.0
