Having read on various other review sites, I wish to register our own experience of this company.
I have been a Surveyor for 45 years and never in those years have a read such a damning and fictitious summary of a building. Not one thing in the house evidently is fit for purpose, the electrics are dangerous (no reason given) the boiler is illegal because it is outside in an enclosure despite having all certification provided by the CORGI installer, all of the ceiling are likely to collapse because they are wallpapered... never knew we had structural wallpaper WoW!), six spots of moss on the roof require a specialised chemical clean and annual maintenance (!!!), the artificial grass is likely to cause skin burning and a fire hazard (all 3 metres of it), the lift isn't insulated (it IS), the house is on clay and is susceptible to cause structural cracking, she forgets to add that at the time of the survey on a 90 year old house there IS NO CRACKS OR SIGNS OF MOVEMENT, I could go on and on, each and every paragraph in this report was a fabrication of scaremongering lies. The surveyor is obviously inexperienced, not aware of gas and electrical regulation's, structural and just writes worst case scenarios in her summary, no wonder the buyer pulled out after trying to knock me for £80k to replace everything! I complained to Esurv line by line agaisnt their report, but all they had to say was that they cannot comment as their contract is between them and the (then) buyer, so have escalated my complain to the next level. This company is a disgrace to the profession. Please avoid paying for them, or if your are trying to sell, refuse them entry.
Disgraceful.

What you describe is very common.
Very often the main purpose of a report is to cover the surveyor's !!!!!!.
